The Eva May Foster Photograph Album, 1934-1941, comprises a disbound photograph album of black-and-white photographs documenting Foster's time as a student at the State Teachers College at Harrisonburg.

The Frances Logan Gillam Papers, 1939-1940, are comprised of photographs of the Madison College campus dating to the 1939-1940 academic term and miscellaneous materials from Gillam’s time as a student at Madison College.

The Freshman Class Scrapbooks are comprised of four disassembled scrapbooks, containing correspondence, programs, invitations, telegrams and ephemera that document class elections and campus activities of the Madison College freshman class, from 1945-1949.

The Furious Flower Poetry Center Records, consisting of 17.6 cubic feet (43 boxes, 1 rolled storage container), document the departmental activities of the Furious Flower Poetry Center.

The Garber and Logan Family Papers, 1846-1949, comprise personal receipts of Joseph Garber, genealogy of the Garber Family, and photographs likely taken by John and Emma Logan.

The Geoffrey Morley-Mower Papers, 1999-2001, include a draft of Morley-Mower's memoir Flying Blind, correspondence with artist and collection donor Richard McNealy, and images and copies of paintings used to illustrate Flying Blind.

The George W. W. Scothern Daybooks, 1905 - 1911, consist of account ledgers and other materials that document the business transactions of a photography business and a general store, C.A. Scothern & Son.

The Grove Family Papers, 1884-1932, consists of correspondence and ephemera from the Grove Family of Luray in Page County, Virginia.

The Harriet Shackelford Papers, 1964-1970, are comprised of 30 photographs of Madison College students and campus scenes, as well as a letter written by Julie Fry regarding the Madison College Big Sister Little Sister program.

The Harrisonburg Chapter of the Madison College Alumni Association Records is comprised of two meeting minute books; a scrapbook containing photographs, newspaper clippings and paper; and administrative papers that document the Alumni Association (formerly known as the Alumnae Association) from 1945-1964.

The collection contains National Register of Historic Places nomination forms and supporting documents, maps, floor plans and images for properties in the vicinity of Rockingham County and the City of Harrisonburg generated by students in James Madison University’s Historic Preservation class, 1989-2013.

The Heatwole Family Papers, 1838-2001, document descendants of David Heatwole (1767-1842). The collection documents the Virginia Heatwoles, specifically those of Mt. Clinton and Dale Enterprise, as well as the Trumbos of Fulks Run. Materials include correspondence, financial records, personal papers, photographs, and ephemera.

The Henkel Family Papers, 1801-2008, document the influential Henkel family of Rockingham and Shenandoah counties in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. The collection, primarily documenting the Siram and Margaret Koiner Henkel line of the family, is comprised of correspondence, personal and financial papers, and genealogical research materials.

The Hillcrest Drive [Harrisonburg, Virginia] Photographs, 1951-1984, comprise a series of digital images documenting the house and surrounding neighborhood located at 1215 Hillcrest Drive in Harrisonburg's Maplehurst neighborhood.

The Irene Munson Rouse Papers, 1947-1948, comprise printed ephemera and photographs documenting Rouse's time as a student at Madison College.

The Iris Alina Ruiz Williams Papers, 1939-1965, comprise photographs, drawings, a scrapbook, and a fencing foil from Williams’ time as a student at Madison College and as an alumna.

The J. Wilbert and Ellen A. Chappell Papers, 1946-1978, consist of three folders of congratulatory letters, Faculty Wives Sewing Circle programs, photographs, and miscellany.

The James Madison University Historic Photographs, 1909-circa 2000, comprises approximately 1700 photographs that depict notable events, activities, faculty, students, students groups, places, and everyday life at James Madison University and the surrounding community between 1909-ca. 2000.

The Jean Foley Scrapbook, 1939-1940, contains photographs of downtown Harrisonburg and James Madison University, including the “Turkey Festival” and May Day celebrations, as well as travel photos documenting the experiences of State Normal School alum, Foley.

The Joanne V. Gabbin Papers, 1930-2017 [bulk 1960-2017], contain the professional, academic, and personal papers of Joanne V. Gabbin, professor of English at James Madison University and director of the Furious Flower Poetry Center.

John L. Heatwole Personal Papers, 1973-1995, consists of one Hollinger box and one flat box of items such as correspondence, exhibit notices, consignment contracts, magazine articles, photos, and sketches relevant to Heatwole's work as an artist and lecturer.

The John T. Harris Papers, 1771-1937 (bulk 1850-1900), consist of a large number of personal and political documents relevant to the life and career of John T. Harris. The bulk of the collection is comprised of letters of John T. Harris and his family, and of Peyton Randolph and his family. Several letters discuss Southern secession and the American Civil War. Also included are Randolph family letters, James Clarkson Papers, Civil War documents and Harris genealogy.

The John V. Coxe Papers consist of a disbound scrapbook of photographs and documents detailing life in the Civilian Conservation Corps at Camp NIRA, Camp #3, Company 1387, from 1933 - 1934. Also included are newspaper clippings from the 1930s - 1980s relating to various aspects of the Civilian Conservation Corps.

The Joseph J. Dorsey Papers, ca. 1912-1953, consisting of one folder, contain two photographs of Joseph J. Dorsey and his 1953 obituary as published in the Daily News-Record.

This collection comprises a record book, account book, original charter, minute books, scrapbooks, and papers that document the history of the Alpha Chi Chapter of the Kappa Delta Pi at the State Teachers College at Harrisonburg, from 1923-1986.

The Kappa Kappa Psi Records, 1958-2009 (bulk 1979-2009), contain organizational files of and pertaining to the Eta Omicron chapter of the band service fraternity Kappa Kappa Psi at James Madison University. In addition to these administrative files is a large collection of photographic and ephemeral material.

The Kathleen Chevallie Harless Scrapbook contains photographs, invitations and programs that document Harless’ experiences at the State Normal and Industrial School for Women at Harrisonburg, from 1911-1914. Also included are four postcards depicting campus grounds and buildings, dated 1911-1913, and a promotional flyer from 1982.

The Kathryn Eye Papers, 1920-1991, contain the papers of Kathryn Eye, local resident and missionary to the Belgian Congo. Materials document Eye’s life, missionary work, and exhibit of her art collection at the Madison Art Collection and include correspondence, ephemera and stamps, and a scrapbook.

The Kenneth E. Sensabaugh Papers, 1944-2009 (bulk 1944-1954), are comprised primarily of materials related to Sensabaugh’s career in the U. S. Navy. Items include photographs, sketch portraits of Sensabaugh, discharge papers, and ephemera.
