The Dorothy Lee Baugher Papers, 1936-2003 (bulk 1975-1981), consist of two boxes of newspaper clippings, poetry, fiction and non-fiction writings, and drawings produced by Baugher. The collection also includes miscellaneous materials including correspondence, receipts, programs, and notes.

Dudley; family photographs; and documents from the Mossy Creek Presbyterian Church in Mt. Solon, Virginia.
The Edith May Fultz Cavendish Photographs, ca. 1940, include 43 unique black-and-white photographs of Madison College while Cavendish (née Fultz) was a student at the school. Dormitory life and dormitory interiors, campus buildings, snowscapes, general student and social life, and fellow classmate portrait photographs are all captured.
These papers give insight into the life of former James Madison University English professor Edna T. Frederikson in her later years as an author and poet. The papers consist of two boxes containing one bound diary and three unpublished manuscripts, all created between 1972 and 1992.
The Edna T. Shaeffer Retirement Letters, 1940, 1956, is a collection of approximately 60 congratulatory letters presented to Shaeffer upon her retirement as director of the Glee Club from Madison College. Correspondents are former students who sang under direction and tutelage.

The Ellen Stulting Wyant Photograph Album, 1930-1944, comprises photographs of Stulting's early childhood, her time as a student at Madison College, and scenes from the University of Virginia.
The Elliott Guthrie Fishburne Papers consist of one letter (1886) from Fishburne to H.B. McClellan, and one undated memoir (ca. 1880s) describing the 1st Virginia Cavalry at the battle of Gettysburg on July 3, 1863.
The Elmer Lewis Smith Papers, 20th century, consist of six folders of notes and drafts, compiled and written by Elmer Lewis Smith, on folk superstitions, ghosts, conjuring, powwowing, folk healing, and holiday superstitions in the Shenandoah Valley.
The Elsie Warren Love Scrapbook, 1924-1926, contains myriad photographs, programs, and other ephemera from when Elsie Love was a post-graduate “degree” student at the State Normal School for Women in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

The Emily Peterson Papers, 1929-2002, bulk 1929-1933, consists of five folders (in one half-Hollinger box) of materials relating to Peterson’s time as a student at the State Teachers College at Harrisonburg. Included are academic and athletic materials, memorabilia and ephemera, tickets to sporting and theatrical events, and newspaper clippings from The Breeze.
The Ernest M. Dickerman Papers, 1904-2005, contain a wide variety of materials that document Dickerman's efforts to obtain Congressional designations of wilderness for various tracts of public land, primarily in Virginia. The collection also contains papers of the Virginia Wilderness Committee (VWC), a grass roots conservation group that Dickerman led. Correspondence from his time at Oberlin College and while serving in the Army is included.
The ESPN College GameDay Posters consist of 16 posters created for the 2015 and 2017 ESPN College GameDays held on the campus of James Madison University. Two of the posters were made for the 2015 ESPN College GameDay against the Richmond Spiders. Fourteen of the posters were created for the 2017 ESPN College GameDay against the Villanova Wildcats.
The Etta Evans Scrapbook, 1935-1936, is comprised of one bound scrapbook containing memorabilia, ephemera, and correspondence from Evans’s time as a student at the State Teachers College at Harrisonburg. Evans annotated the scrapbook by describing the items pasted within.
