Records an interview with Melissa Menjivar, who is from San Salvador, El Salvador, and who emigrated with her family to the United States in 2017. Discusses challenges learning English as a foreign language, cultural differences between the United States and El Salvador, and schooling experiences. Discusses attending school in El Salvador until the 12th grade. Comments on academic success in the United States. Includes reference to danger faced in El Salvador.
