Myers, Virginia Josephine Hisey, 1914-2015
Biography
Graduated from Teachers Normal School (now JMU) in 1935 with a degree in Home Economics. She began her teaching career at Toms Brook, Edinburg and Mt. Jackson schools. Later she taught at New Market and moved to Stonewall Jackson High School when it opened as a new school in 1959, where she also taught science.
After earning a Master of Education degree from Madison College, she taught in the Home Economics Department of Bridgewater College until her retirement in 1976.
