The Academic Affairs: Academic Program Reviews (APRs) are comprised of internal self-study reports and external team reviews for JMU degree-granting departments, programs, and academic administrative areas. The collection contains both paper and digital files.

The Agnes Davis Shipley Papers, 1936, comprise examples of sewing techniques and coursework created by Agnes Davis Shipley during her time as a student at the State Teachers College at Harrisonburg/Madison College.

The Alumni Association Records, 1934-2015, consists of 4.29 cubic feet in 13 boxes. The collection primarily consists of the administrative files of the James Madison University Alumni Association, all referring to the individual graduated classes of JMU, Madison College, and the State Normal School.

The Anthony-Seeger Campus School Records, 1956-1982, consist of three boxes containing administrative, historical, and personal materials relating to the school.

The Audrey Hatcher Vaughan Papers, 1942-1944, consist of three folders of school related materials, correspondence from WWII soldiers and fellow schoolmates, and miscellaneous materials pertaining to the donor's time at Madison College.

The Audrey Hawkins Rosenberger Papers, 1950-1956, document Hawkins' time as a student at Madison College and include photographs and printed ephemera.

The Barbara McKnight Benham Papers, 1966-2021, comprise materials related to Madison College sorority life, campus events, and alumni associated events. The collection focuses primarily on McKnight’s student experience as a member of the Alpha Sigma Tau sorority with correspondence, photographs, and invitations giving insight to campus life from 1966-1970.

The Betty Brown Clemmer and Willis Clemmer Papers, 1920-2015 (bulk 1943-1949), largely comprise correspondence between Betty Brown Clemmer and Willis Clemmer during their courtship while Betty was a student at Madison College. Other papers relate to Betty's coursework at Madison College, Willis' service in the Army Air Forces, and family biographies.

The collection includes programs, photographs, and a dance card.

This collection contains the papers of Betty Coe Cinquegrana, who attended Madison College from 1960-1964. Materials date from 1960-2014 and relate to her time as a student at Louisa County High School and Madison College, and life after college. Materials relating to the Betty Coe ’64 and Paul J. Cinquegrana Scholarship, established in the mid-2000s, are also included.

The Betty Hudson Brown Papers, 1967-1970, document Brown's time as a student at Madison College.

The Clara Soter Papers, 1969-1971, contain the January 1971 issue of the Journal of the American Dietetic Association and one report by Soter entitled “Sound Barrier,” written for the U.S. Public Health Service Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia.

The Claudia F. Bailey Photographs, 1964, consist of six photographs taken of Bailey and her friends during Bailey’s senior year at Madison College.

The Debating Club Records is comprised of a record book and papers containing meeting minutes, membership lists, and attendance records, documenting club activities from its founding in 1928 until 1940.

This collection is comprised of the professional and academic papers of Dr. Raymond C. Dingledine, Jr., a professor of Social Studies and History at James Madison University (formerly Madison College), and correspondence and research materials for the book, “Madison College: the First Fifty Years, 1908-1958,” published in 1959.

The collection comprises the administrative files, photographs, and scrapbooks documenting the Department of Living Sciences and affiliated student organizations (Frances Sale Club and Phi Omicron Tau) at James Madison University.

Dining Services at JMU Oral Histories, 2004, is comprised audio recordings, transcripts, and research notes related to seven interviews conducted by Danielle Torisky with individuals regarding their experiences with dining services at James Madison University.

The Dorothy McKinley Spooner Garber Papers, 1925-1978, comprise Garber's wedding portraits and personal papers.

The Edith May Fultz Cavendish Photographs, ca. 1940, include 43 unique black-and-white photographs of Madison College while Cavendish (née Fultz) was a student at the school. Dormitory life and dormitory interiors, campus buildings, snowscapes, general student and social life, and fellow classmate portrait photographs are all captured.

The Edna T. Shaeffer Retirement Letters, 1940, 1956, is a collection of approximately 60 congratulatory letters presented to Shaeffer upon her retirement as director of the Glee Club from Madison College. Correspondents are former students who sang under direction and tutelage.

The Ellen Frank Armentrout Papers, 1961-1964, are comprised of facsimiles of one essay, seven letters, and 15 photographs from Armentrout’s time as a student at Madison College.

The Ellen Stulting Wyant Photograph Album, 1930-1944, comprises photographs of Stulting's early childhood, her time as a student at Madison College, and scenes from the University of Virginia.

The Facilities Management Architectural Drawings 1914-1983, are comprised of blue prints, pencil tracings, and linen drawings of various James Madison University buildings, their corresponding mechanical systems, and campus grounds.

The Faculty Senate Minutes, 1969-2007, are comprised of minutes of the James Madison University Faculty Senate meetings.

The Frances Logan Gillam Papers, 1939-1940, are comprised of photographs of the Madison College campus dating to the 1939-1940 academic term and miscellaneous materials from Gillam’s time as a student at Madison College.

The Freshman Class Scrapbooks are comprised of four disassembled scrapbooks, containing correspondence, programs, invitations, telegrams and ephemera that document class elections and campus activities of the Madison College freshman class, from 1945-1949.
