This database contains finding aids for archival collections held by JMU Special Collections. Finding aids are records that describe the creation, content, context, and arrangement of archival materials, allowing users to identify and request materials relevant to their research. Use this database to browse, explore, and find primary sources.
Each finding aid contains a link to request materials from the collections. Collections are non-circulating and must be used in the Carrier Library Special Collections reading room. Some finding aids contain links to digitized versions of all or parts of a collection, but in most cases viewing a collection in its entirety will require a visit to JMU Special Collections.
